WHAT ARE THE MASTERCLASSES?

Bridging the gap

It is easy to get lost in the number of schools, courses, places, and people involved in opera training, particularly when you’re just starting out. We provide people with the opportunity to talk first-hand to top professionals in the field and receive a 20-minute-long coaching session with them on their chosen repertoire. All of this is FREE – both to attend and to participate, thanks to our guests’ kind donation of time and experience.

HOW TO apply

It’s easy and free!

Step 1: Prepare a Youtube link of you singing the aria you want to perform in the class.

Step 2: Put together a short biography (nothing too long, just outlining the stage of career at which you are – if you are a student, just graduated, etc.).
NB: as we are putting everything together in a spreadsheet, we would like bios over CVs.

Step 3: Send it all over to nationalstudentoperasociety@gmail.com, along with the score of the aria you want to sing.

Step 4: Our guest will review your video and select THREE lucky participants.

Step 5: You will be notified on the day before of the Masterclass if you have been selected.
