ABOUT

OUR MISSION

LET'S TALK ABOUT OPERA

Opera has the potential to be a universal genre, however, many young people in the UK do not have the chance to access opera. We aim to increase access to opera among young people – be it through awareness, financial aid, or opportunity.

OUR KEY AIMS

  • To integrate the thriving societies we have pre-existing in UK universities
  • To provide students that hope to go into opera as a career with clear advice and career tips
  • To use social media, email and website to make students aware of upcoming events and relevant opportunities
  • To integrate the thriving societies we have pre-existing in UK
  • To publicise the wonderful schemes that many opera houses have in place for accessible tickets and to push for an increased focus from opera houses to appeal to new demographics
  • To show on a national level that opera is flourishing in the UK and to dispel negative stereotypes surrounding those involved in opera
